We have an opportunity for an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our Mine Water Team on a full-time basis in Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver

An overview of your role will include:  

  • Conducting hydrologic assessments, options assessments for water management infrastructure, hydraulic and streamflow evaluations
  • Application of hydraulic models such as HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS
  • Prepare analyses, designs, drawings and specifications for conceptual and detailed design of water management infrastructure, such as diversions and control structures, pressure and gravity water pipelines and associated earthworks, erosion protection, spillways, ponds and flood protection works
  • Contract administration and field reviews for project under construction
  • Other duties as required

You will have a background in: 

  • An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university is required, with a focus on surface water
  • Detailed understanding of hydraulic design
  • Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration with Professional Association in the Jurisdiction is required
  • 5+ years of professional experience as an engineering professional completing studies, design, tender document preparation and construction contract administration on a broad range of engineering projects
  • Experience managing delivery of engineering services on projects including leading consultant team, scope, budget and schedule management and client liaison
  • Previous success in customer service, client management, business development and proposal writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate and communicate with various professional disciplines, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Good time management skills and attention to detail to ensure that work is done correctly and thoroughly
